Description:

These are difficult roles under the best of circumstances, and today’s world is bringing all kinds of challenges we might not have predicted when enteringthe field. What does it look like to build, curate and reinforce resilience in this work? Utilizing SAMHSA’s six key principles of a Trauma-Informed Approach, we’ll reflect on opportunities and tools for reinforcing resilience and holistic wellbeing as individuals and as a community.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the course:

  1. Participants will reflect on the SAMHSA's six key principles for curating resilience. 
  2. Participants will be able to articulate the ethics behind addressingtheir own holistic well-being and long-term resilience.
  3. Participants will identify 2-3 practical tools for reinforcing their own resilience.

Presenter Bios:

Keri Jones-Fonnesbeck is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has dedicated her career to creating trauma-informed, equitable systems for individuals, families and communities. She serves as the Executive Director for Trauma Informed Utah, working with organizations across the state of Utah in training and implementation of trauma-informed principles. Keri identifies as a mom, a social worker, a hope-keeper, and an equity champion.
